‘Boosie’ Asks Trump For Pardon In Federal Gun Case
“Boosie” has asked President-Elect Donald Trump Wednesday to pardon him for a gun charge he was indicted on earlier this year.
After Trump received enough electoral college votes to win the presidential election against Kamala Harris he tagged Trump on X with the message below.
He faced a second federal gun indictment in July following the dismissal of an earlier case from 2009 that he was arrested and served a prison sentence for gun and drug offenses..
In June 2023, he was apprehended near downtown San Diego when authorities discovered two firearms in the car he was in, leading to charges of being a felon with a firearm.
If convicted, Boosie faces up to 10 years in prison.
In July, he expressed anger over the new charges after his latest indictment was thrown out by the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of California.
Trump has issued a total of 143 pardons during his first four years in office:
2017 – 1 pardon
2018 – 6 pardon
2019 – 8 pardons
2020 – 12 pardons
2021 – 116 pardons
So the ask isn’t exactly crazy from Boosie.
