Regina Hall is making waves in the entertainment world with two major potential returns: the Scary Movie franchise and the highly anticipated Girls Trip 2.
Both projects have fans buzzing with excitement, and Hall’s involvement in them only adds to the intrigue.
Here’s everything we know about her possible returns to these iconic series.
Regina Hall has hinted that she may reprise her role as Brenda Meeks in the upcoming Scary Movie sequel.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hall teased her potential return, saying,
Fans are eager to see her back in the role, which she played in the first four Scary Movie films.
While she did not appear in the fifth installment, it looks like the Flossy Posse might reunite for this one.
Hall’s Scary Movie roots run deep. The franchise, which parodies popular horror films like I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream, first catapulted her into stardom.
Now, with Scary Movie 6 in the works, there’s renewed hope that she’ll return. T
he film is being written and produced by Marlon and Shawn Wayans, who are also behind the original series, and it will continue to offer the mix of absurd comedy and horror spoofs that fans love.
While Hall’s return has yet to be officially confirmed, her comments have fans crossing their fingers for more laughs and chaos from the iconic character.

In addition to her Scary Movie tease, Hall is also making headlines with the confirmation that Girls Trip 2 is officially happening.
The long-awaited sequel to the 2017 hit film, which grossed over $100 million, will see the return of the beloved Flossy Posse—Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Queen Latifah, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
The original Girls Trip movie took audiences to New Orleans for the Essence Festival, providing the perfect backdrop for unforgettable moments.
For the sequel, Hall and her co-stars are gearing up for another wild adventure, this time potentially set in Ghana.
Tracy Oliver, who co-wrote the first film, revealed at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival that the filmmakers are considering setting the sequel in Ghana, with a possible focus on the Afrochella music festival.
Fans can expect similar fun vibes and memorable moments from the Flossy Posse, but this time on an international stage.
While there’s no official release date or Script yet for Girls Trip 2, Regina Hall expressed her excitement about the project, revealing she was just as surprised as the fans when she learned about the potential Ghana setting.
She shared in a February 2023 interview,
“I’m excited to see the girls again and to make something hopefully that the fans love.”
Tiffany Haddish echoed the enthusiasm, expressing her love for the cast and crew and the joy she felt working alongside them.
