Sauce Walka has opened up about the devastating loss of his friend and collaborator, Sayso P, following a fatal shooting in downtown Memphis. The “Ghetto Gospel” rapper, who survived the attack with gunshot wounds to his leg, took to Instagram to express his grief and reflect on what led to the tragedy.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sauce Walka shared his sorrow over Sayso P’s passing and revealed that he had tried to convince his friend to stay inside before the shooting. According to the Houston rapper, Sayso P’s stubborn personality and love for weed played a role in the tragic turn of events.

“Words or tears can’t explain the loss I feel!” Sauce Walka wrote. “Splatt, I wish your fat ahh listened to me and stayed in the room. I told u we could smoke that blunt after security and the rest of our familia pull up… but u was too excited I finally agreed to come to da M.”

He also mentioned that Sayso P had the option to skip the trip and travel to the Dominican Republic instead. “Wish u just went DR wit Shimmy and shot off and skipped this trip to Memphis,” he added, seemingly placing some blame on himself for not preventing the trip.

Meanwhile, newly released footage from TMZ captures the chilling moment gunfire erupted in downtown Memphis, killing Sayso P, whose real name was Latorian Hunt. The video shows three men jumping out of a white car parked on George W. Lee Avenue, directly across from the FedExForum, before shots were fired.

Sayso P had been living and working in Miami before his trip to Memphis, where he ultimately lost his life. His death marks another tragic loss in the hip-hop community, leaving fans and loved ones mourning his untimely passing.
