PinkPantheress Teases New Mixtape with Playful Trailer

After a relatively quiet 2024, PinkPantheress is officially back in the spotlight, announcing her new mixtape with a quirky trailer that promises exciting things to come.

PinkPantheress has made a significant mark on the music scene with her unique blend of bedroom pop and UK garage influences, has not released a major project since her 2023 album Heaven Knows.

But after hinting at her return earlier this year, she’s now made it official: the new mixtape is on its way.

PinkPantheress first teased her return in early 2025, sharing a few glimpses of her studio sessions on social media with a message expressing her excitement:

“oh we are soooo back #2025 i missed y’all, thanks for waiting on me [single tear emoji.”

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news about her next project, and the announcement of her mixtape, coupled with a new trailer, has only heightened anticipation.

The trailer, uploaded to YouTube on March 26, is titled “Official Mixtape Trailer,” and it’s as whimsical and mysterious as fans have come to expect from the artist.

The video begins with PinkPantheress sitting on a worn red leather couch outside a grand building, cutting out images from a magazine.

The scene is serene and slightly surreal, but things quickly take a strange turn when a doppelgänger of PinkPantheress approaches, asking

“Can we get a picture?”

This sets off a series of odd events as more lookalikes appear, all seemingly trying to figure out who the “real” PinkPantheress is.

The confusion culminates in a playful moment when one of the clones’ old-school ringtones rings out, causing a brief scramble to figure out whose phone is ringing.

After clearing the air, the group finally takes the picture, ending the trailer with a lighthearted note.

In the YouTube description, PinkPantheress adds an intriguing message:

“How many PinkPantheress’ can you identify in this video? We are out with the old era and in with the new one. I’m so excited for all of you to feel fanciful in a few months’ time, it’s only a stone’s throw away x.”

This cryptic note suggests that fans should expect a fresh direction, as PinkPantheress ushers in a new musical era.

Her last full release, Heaven Knows, dropped in 2023 and was met with positive reception.

The album showcased her signature style, blending dreamy, ethereal vocals with electronic beats and introspective lyrics.

Tracks like “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” and “I Hate U” showcased her ability to craft catchy, emotionally resonant music that resonated with listeners around the world.

Heaven Knows solidified her status as one of the leading voices in modern pop, and her ability to effortlessly merge genres has earned her a dedicated fanbase.

While Heaven Knows was a defining moment in her career, PinkPantheress has remained relatively quiet since its release.

Aside from a few notable guest appearances on tracks by Shygirl and Jack Harlow/Doja Cat, she’s largely stayed out of the public eye.

However, the new mixtape marks a clear return, and with it, a promise of fresh sounds and a new era for the artist.
