In a move no one saw coming, quarterback Shedeur Sanders — son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders — was selected 144th overall in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. This shocked analysts and fans alike, as he had widely been projected as a top-five pick. His unexpected slide down the board has been linked to a mix of controversial moments and behind-the-scenes drama.

But his draft placement wasn’t the only thing that got the people going.

Recently, Shedeur was spotted with Jamaican artist Shenseea — who’s about five years his senior — igniting heavy backlash online. Mother of London On The Track’s child, Eboni Ivori, went off in a now-viral Instagram Story, accusing Shenseea of predatory behavior.

“SO PARROT BEAK FACE AND HER SON BOTH LIKE TO MESS WITH LIL KIDS. SOMEBODY CALL DFCS AND SAVE SHEDEUR,” one post read, as captured by Hollywood Unlocked. “THE OLD HAG LONG NOSE HAVIN’ WITCH SHOULD’VE GONE FOR THE DADDY. NOW I’M SEEING WHERE THE SON GOT IT FROM.”

Eboni didn’t stop there, continuing with more scathing posts urging Shenseea to “find someone her own age.”

Meanwhile, another star name entered the chat. Yung Miami was seen celebrating with Shedeur at a Dallas nightclub following his draft pick — fueling rumors of a romantic connection. But the Caresha Please host wasted no time clearing it up.

“Y’all B!tc#es don’t know what ‘supporting your ppl’ look like!!!! Everything ain’t dick & pussy!!!!!” she tweeted. She followed up with a now-iconic line: “I can never go from a shark to Nemo y’all bitches slow!”

So, what really caused Shedeur’s draft stock to drop?

  • Combine Interviews & Attitude: Some NFL owners reportedly found Sanders “entitled” and off-putting during interviews.
  • Deion Sanders’ Comments: Deion compared their situation to Eli Manning’s infamous 2004 draft drama — which may have rubbed teams the wrong way.
  • Prank Call Incident: A fake call from someone posing as Saints GM Mickey Loomis caused a stir. The prankster turned out to be Jax Ulbrich, son of Falcons DC Jeff Ulbrich.

Even Donald Trump added his two cents, calling NFL owners “stupid” for letting Sanders fall so far and praising his “pedigree” and athletic potential.

Despite all the background noise, Shedeur is focused. He’s joining a competitive QB room in Cleveland and is ready to prove the doubters wrong. With the NFL season approaching, all eyes are on him to see how he turns this draft-day drama into motivation.
