2. Bobby Fishscale – I Might

Source:BOBBY FISHSCALE

Roc Nation hip-hop artistBobby Fishscale continues his momentum of last week’s music video drop with the premiere of his newest visual, “I Might.”

The track continues Bobby’s storytelling of the lessons learned in the streets contributing to the overhead theme of a hustler’s manual in his forthcoming full-length project, The Fishscale Way arriving next month.

Directed by Benny Flash, the music video release opens with the second hood lesson: “Never Sell Where You Rest At.” The visual opens with dialogue from a hustler confessing his daunting paranoia of being watched at his spot ashe’s depicted peeking through his window anticipating his opps to pull up. The main character does a dangerous dance of tiptoeing around his opps at the trap house before leading to his eventual demise.

Bobby is captured smoothly rapping braggadocious lyrics of the successful hustler lifestyle he leads after his come up in the same trap house and on the hood of a car parked out front.

The music video follows last week’s drop of the “Really Eat” visual, two iterations of Bobby’s personal take on the notorious Ten Crack Commandments, reflected in his upcoming album release next month.

The impending The Fishscale Way project builds off of Bobby’s lived experiences on the streets and follows his widely successful debut album, The Evolution featuring lead track “Huncho Fishscale” ft. Quavo among other notable collaborators, Juicy J, Zaytoven, DJ Paul, Ink, Mozzy, and labelmate Kalan.FrFr.

The Florida hometown hero has climbed his way to the frontlines of the South’s burgeoning rap wave, earning the co-signing support of hip hop heavyweights like Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, Rod Wave, and 2Chainz. Bobby is a BMI R&B and Hip Hop Social Star Award winner joining respected names like Mac Miller, Machine Gun Kelly, Zendaya, Joey Bada$$, and NLE Choppa.

8. T.F. & 2Eleven ft. Rome Streetz – Pill Form

Source:im__TF

While he was born in Sacramento, T.F. spent his formative years in Los Angeles.  Living in a Crip-heavy neighborhood known as the “50’s,” as a young teen, he choose getting jumped in over getting jumped.  An attempted bank robbery, followed by a parole violation leads the then 18-year-old to being incarcerated for the first time.  While imprisoned, T.F., along with other incarcerated prisoners fought southern California wildfires, to prevent smoldering blazes from incinerating more acres, mountains, hillsides, and homes; nearly dying in the process.

Though T.F. has recorded songs dating back to as early as 2006, a final prison stint stunted his goals until he was released in 2012 and he began recording in earnest again.  T.F has spent the last decade gradually ascending to become one of LA’s sharpest pens, along the way expanding his brand and catalog.  A few guest appearances (including “Tookie Knows II” with Schoolboy Q) brought him early recognition and set the stage for his solo work; including Blame Kansas (2022) a collaborative project with Roc Marciano, which featured collaborations with Conway The Machine, Flee Lord, Crimeapple & Mephux, and his Skanless Levels series with producer 2 Eleven (which has featured collaborations with Larry June, Conway The Machine, Jay Worthy, G Perico and Trizz among others).

Now, T.F. and 2 Eleven have formally announced Skanless Levels 4 and released a new single, “Pill Form” featuring Rome Streetz.  Skanless Levels 4 will be released on 6-23-23 and features appearances from Roc Marciano, Jay Worthy, Rome Streetz and Trizz.  “Pill Form” is now available at all DSP’s.

10. BenBoh ft. 2kBaby – Jealousy

Source:BenBoh

Benboh collaborated with rising star 2KBaby for new single “Jealousy” which is a nice infusion of rock and hip hop. Coming off notable features with Our Generation Music, MTV, and DJ Akademiks, BenBoh wanted to continue to rise musically with his latest release.

With an ever growing fan base and a surplus in overall support growing for his music BenBoh is enjoying the effects this brings along with the pitfalls that occurs. The DMV native is handling it well and prefers to use music to express his thoughts instead of wallowing in depression.

2KBaby’s charisma matches Ben’s carefree attitude perfectly which leads to a quality rock influenced hip hop single from the duo.

“Everything in life is how you handle it or it will handle you,” Ben states about the concept of the single. So far it seems Ben is head and shoulders above most new artist in dealing with “Jealousy!”

The single is paired with a music video set to shot by Wave Change that has multiple Dynamic effects and really shows the chemistry the two have. “Jealousy” is on all digital streaming platforms via Sloppy Vinyl.

11. Toosii – NAUJOUR

Source:Toosii

Toosii released NAUJOUR, his debut album, via South Coast Music Group/Capitol Records. The 19-track album includes the Platinum-certified “Favorite Song,” which is No. 1 at Rhythm radio and is currently top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, subsequent versions of “Favorite Song” with Khalid and Future. Download / stream NAUJOUR HERE. Hailed by Complex as one of “music’s brightest stars,” Toosii will support the album with an extensive summer headline tour. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com.

Born NauJour Lazier Grainger in Syracuse, NY, Toosii began focusing on music after he moved to Raleigh, NC, as a teen. Hesays, “I had always told myself that when I dropped my debut album, it would be a self-titled album. I feel like there is a difference between NauJour and Toosii and with this album, I am actually giving people the real in my life.”

On NAUJOUR, the 23-year-old artist oscillates between disarming tenderness (“Favorite Song”) and jagged cool. He trades bars with 21 Savage on “Pull Up” for an effortless blend of menace and machismo. On “Rich Ridin,” he coasts over insistent percussion as he lets loose emphatic flexes and implicit warnings for his enemies. The slow burning “FWLM” blends raw lyrics with elegant instrumentation as Toosii swings from brash and confident (“Backseat, Double R, let me set the bar”) to vulnerable (“Brought her to the studio / Just for her to break my heart and play me like a Yu-Gi-Oh!”). Toosii shot the immersive, atmospheric official video for “FWLM” in downtown Los Angeles with frequent collaborators Joan Pabon and Logan Fields (Rod Wave, Syd).

Named by Billboard as an early contender for “Song of the Summer 2023,” “Favorite Song” has amassed over 260 million combined global streams while the audio has been featured in over five million global TikTok creations, earning more than three billion combined views. XXL Magazine put “Favorite Song” (feat. Future) [Toxic Version] on its list of the best new hip-hop songs and Brooklyn Vegan observed, “It’s a syrupy slow jam that Future is perfect for.” Praising the remix with Khalid,HYPEBEAST said, “An R&B song reflecting on the woes of heartbreak, the resulting collaboration is a series of layered, drawn-out vocals, subtly punctuated with the tapping of drums.”

Toosii recently performed “Favorite Song” during the two-hour live season finale of Season 23 of NBC’s four-time Emmy Award-winning competition series “The Voice” and on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

After releasing a stream of projects between 2017 and 2019, Toosii solidified his emerging star with his South Coast Music Group debut, Platinum Heart, which included fan favorites “Love Cycle” and “Red Lights.” Poetic Pain followed, which injectedToosii into the national consciousness and earned him a spot in the 2021 XXL Freshman class. From there, he kept up his momentum with efforts like Thank You for Believing and Pretty Girls Love Toosii, which combined his sensual vocals with understated soundscapes. Released after the birth of his son, 2022’s Boys Don’t Cry saw Toosii reach even deeper into his emotions. “It’s alright as a man to tap into that emotional side,” he said at the time.

NAUJOUR is further proof of Toosii’s willingness – and his power – to succumb to the emotional compulsions the world says Black men shouldn’t acknowledge. With this comfort, he writes more earnestly while singing more passionately, signifying his total artistic control. “I want NAUJOUR to be a classic, timeless project,” Toosii says. “I want people to understand who I truly am and recognize that I am an artist that’s going to be around forever and not for the moment.”

IVAV recording artist Jay-Way remixes “Running Out of Love” with an assist from Marc E. Bassy, dropping the fresh track today (6/2) across all platforms — listen to “Running Out of Love (feat. Marc E. Bassy)”. In addition, Jay-Way and Bassy are set to premiere an official music video next Friday, June 9, at 10 a.m. CT. Filmed at a home outside of Nashville, the all-new visual was directed and produced by Mike Folabi, who helmed previous videos for Jay-Way’s “Ice Cold” and “Shawty Goodnight.”

Jay-Way first debuted “Running Out of Love” in March across nine different showcases at this year’s SXSW Conference in Austin, Texas. Capturing the feeling of navigating a relationship on the rocks, the rhythmic song reflects the singer’s last-ditch efforts to save the connection despite knowing it’s already slipping away. For the exclusive remix, the Amsterdam-based act enlisted San Francisco Bay Area singer/songwriter Marc E. Bassy, who holds co-writing credit on the single with Jay-Way, Ty Brasel, and track producer Sajan Nauriyal. This all-new iteration of “Running Out of Love” builds on the diverse sonic elements captured in the original — a collision of hip-hop, rock, and pop that continues to define Jay-Way’s trailblazing musical trajectory.

A brand ambassador for PUMA and Dr. Martens, the innovative artist recently signed as a model under APL Models Worldwide. Additionally, Jay-Way just wrapped a run of sold-out dates opening for RINI on the European leg of the Filipino-born R&B singer’s “Past The Naked Eye Tour.” He’s currently in the studio working on his next full-length project — his first LP in partnership with IVAV (a division of Curb Records.)

In celebration of the new record label deal, RJAE today has debuted his brand new single, “Remember That” featuring platinum, award-nominated rapper and close mentor, A Boogie Wit A Hoodie. The track explores the infatuation experienced in love and the desire to remain by a lover’s side. The accompanying music video directed by Gerard Victor captures RJAE getting up close and personal with his summertime romance. The visual showcases RJAE picking up his girl on a New York corner block before hitting up a rooftop party as the two set the dance floor ablaze with their electrifying chemistry. The video also incorporates shots of A Boogie and RJAE exchanging slick verses on a rooftop overlooking New York City’s evening skyline.

On the process of collaborating with A Boogie Wit A Hoodie, RJAE continues, “The process was a waiting game. I had to be very patient because I didn’t want to force a record. We’ve known each other for over four years already and we have records but we never really sat down to launch something big until now. When he heard the record he immediately went into it. It was organic and the time was right – just like how our first link up went down. It all came full circle. That’s the record fans get to listen to today.”

The new single release previews RJAE’s highly anticipated album release project, You’re The Problem with lead focus track, “Too Gone” featuring the NOLA artist’s close collaborator, NBA YoungBoy dropping June 16.

After sending shockwaves through his hometown city with a debut performance at the House of Blues New Orleans, RJAE joined the Highbridge Crew to tour across North America. Upon his return in 2020, RJAE linked up with Good Money Global – home to YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
