Lyrica Anderson Talks New Music, Reality TV Drama, and Dating Exclusively

Lyrica Anderson,R&B singer-songwriter, recently stopped by The Morning Hustle to spill some tea. Known for her stint on VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,” Anderson is now back with a bang, promoting her latest single, “Crazy to Me,” inspired by her own tumultuous life experiences.

Reflecting on her time with “Love & Hip Hop,” Lyrica didn’t hold back. “It was stressful having cameras in your face ….and arguing with people you barely know,” she confessed. The pressures from producers to stir up drama were relentless. “They’re always creating narratives and putting bugs in your ear,” she added, debunking the myth that the show is a career death sentence. For Lyrica, it was a mixed bag. “It can be a gift or a curse—it’s what you make of it.”
Lyrica also opened up about her rocky past with her former manager. Fans might remember the drama over a promised car that never materialized. “Prince is a good guy…… but I was in the right, and he was wrong,” she asserted. Thankfully, they’ve patched things up and are on good terms now.
On the personal front, Lyrica revealed she’s newly dating but taking things slow. And one thing’s for sure: her love life won’t be making any more reality TV appearances emphasizing that she has learned her lesson from her past relationship with ex-husband, music producer A1.
Interestingly, Lyrica shared her admiration for androgynous men, even admitting a crush on rapper Young Thug. As for her current relationship, she’s keeping things private and low-key, far from the prying eyes of reality TV cameras.
Right now, Lyrica is in her acting bag and laser-focused on her music. She promised her fans consistency and dedication moving forward. “I’m going to be consistent with the music this time,” she said with a smile, promising her fans something different this time around.
