Jussie Smollett is back in the spotlight, and this time, it’s for a new creative project. He, alongside Mona Scott-Young and Tressa Azarel, dropped by The Morning Hustle to discuss their latest film, “The Lost Holliday”. The plot follows Cassandra Marshall, played by Vivica A. Fox, who travels to L.A. after the death of her estranged son, Damien. But upon arrival, she’s met with a shock: her son’s husband, Jason, is handling the arrangements—someone she knew nothing about.

Directed by and starring Jussie Smollett, the film was a crowd favoriate at its 2024 premiere at the American Black Film Festival. Smollett co-wrote the film with Jerrell Chesney, adding another layer to his artistic legacy. Featuring standout performances from Vivica A. Fox, Jabari Redd, and Smollett himself, this emotional drama dives into family, loss, and acceptance.
