Now, in his latest role as Macrinus, a Roman big shot in Gladiator II, Denzel was supposed to have this “kiss of death” moment—a full-on lip-lock with another man. But when it came down to it, that kiss didn’t make the final cut. Denzel spilled the tea, saying, “I kissed a guy right on the lips, but I guess they chickened out. Then I killed him five minutes later—because, well, it’s Gladiator.”

Sources confirmed to The Post that, yes, the kiss was filmed, but let’s be clear: it wasn’t exactly romantic. Aside from his work on Gladiator, Denzel Washington teased retirement with a role in ‘Black Panther 3.’
