Chris Brown Cuts a Check for Tory Lanez, Gets Dragged

Just when it seemed like Chris Brown was finally on a drama-free streak—focusing on music, dancing like his rent was due, and minding his business—here comes Tory Lanez, dragging him into his mess. .

Tory, who’s currently serving 10 years for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, decided that incarceration wasn’t gonna stop him from making music or spilling tea. On March 7, he dropped his new album Peterson, and instead of keeping it cute, he made sure to put Chris Brown’s name all up in the mix.

On the track “T.D.F x L.A. County Jail,” Tory ranted about how most of his so-called industry friends turned their backs on him—except one. Chris. Maurice. Brown.

“I had no real, like, access to my funds. I was fed up and my lawyer wanted over, like, a quarter million to represent me for the appeal,” Tory revealed. “So, you know, I start hollering at all my rap friends, my celebrity friends, and nobody was there.”

And then—BOOM! Out of nowhere, Breezy allegedly swoops in with the bag.

“N—-s treating me like I was dead and this n—a Chris Brown — I’ll never forget it — this n—-a Chris Brown came out of nowhere. He just gave me the money. He said, ‘Look, bro, when you get outside, holla at me. Hope you come home.’ That’s a real n—a, bro.”

Now hold on. Chris. WHY?

You JUST got people to stop side-eyeing you for your own past legal issues—which, let’s be real, isn’t exactly a short list. The assault on Rihanna, the Karrueche Tran restraining order, the nightclub fights, the colorism allegations, the multiple lawsuits— the optics of you backing a man convicted of shooting a Black woman are HORRIBLE.

Sir, this was your moment to SIT THIS ONE OUT.

But nope, Tory doubled down on the praise, making it clear that Breezy was the ONLY one who had his back.

“Where was you n—-s when I was in Cali fed up with no covers to bundle up/ Only real n—a that helped me was Chris Brown, that really my brother.”

Chris, baby… you should’ve let somebody else be that brother.

Now instead of celebrating his own career moves, Chris is once again front and center in controversy, all because he just had to come through for the wrong one.

And let’s not act like Tory didn’t know what he was doing by putting this in the music. He needed attention, and now Chris Brown is catching strays because of it.

With Breezy’s history, the last thing he needed was to publicly align himself with a convicted felon known for violence against women. But alas, bad decisions recognize bad decisions.

Tory also had some choice words for the music industry on his outro track, “Free Tory,” making it clear that he knows exactly who stood by him—and who left him behind.

And right now, the ONLY one willing to risk it all for him is Chris Brown.

Somebody please take this man’s checkbook before he funds his way into another PR nightmare.
