1. KARABA – Siren

French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA has announced her forthcoming Tides EP, set to arrive on May 23. The announcement arrives with her new single ‘Siren’ out now via ONErpm. 

A mesmerizing dive into Tides, ‘Siren’ lures listeners into KARABA’s immersive world of Afro house rhythms and sultry electronic soundscapes. Evoking both the mythological mystique and raw power of its oceanic inspirations, ‘Siren’ seduces listeners with its elevated synthwork and stimulating sound design. ‘Siren’ joins ‘Dark Waters’ as the second single off KARABA’s upcoming EP and offers a glimpse into the depth of artistry woven throughout Tides.

Out May 23, Tides is KARABA’s third EP following her 2022 debut Délivrance and 2023 sophomore Souvenirs. 2. Fusilier – Ambush

True to its name, Ambush, the debut album from Fusilier, surprise drops today on IS NOT MUSIC. The release comes with a brand new video for “Hello,” directed by Mackai Sharp.

The single joins Ambush’s extensive visual reel that includes “Birds,” “Nightmare Muscle,” “U N I NO,” and “NSA.” Those tracks drew praise from Rolling Stone, the Boston Globe, Line of Best Fit, and Queerty among many others, with Alternative Press designating Fusilier as one of their Top 25 Most Exciting Artists of 2025 for his “powerful vocals … cradled by innovative production that incorporates traditional instrumentation, angular riffage, and soulful, driving basslines with bold, unexpected texture.” NYC folks can catch Ambush live in all its glory at Public Records on April 9th, with tickets HERE.

The album’s thesis statement, “Hello” exemplifies the many influences and sounds present in Ambush. Accompanied by a soft guitar riff, Fusilier gently introduces us to his inner thoughts. The more he shares, the busier and deeper the song becomes. A brilliant cast of musicians bring their a-games on bass (Chris Connors), drums (Vishal Nayak), violin (Lavinia Pavlish, Katie Jacoby), while previous collaborators Bartees Strange and Teeny Lieberson return to share their vocals and guitar and synth skills, respectively. All of them unite behind Fusilier as he pushes towards the song’s climax, where it slows to a dramatic tempo as his rebellious tenor vocalizes his wildest dreams come true: “Tonight, I feel like a cowboy.”

Director Mackai shared the reasons behind his and Fusilier’s success with the “Hello” video: “It was exciting for me! I tend to work within a specific sound, and this project felt like the biggest departure from what I am familiar with. And with that, comes a whole different sonic universe for me to riff off of. I feel blessed with the ability to vividly picture scenes and concepts when absorbing music, and it was such an organic process communicating these visions with the team as we developed our ideas. It’s been a real honour getting to know Fusilier and the community that surrounds this project; Everyone is working at such a high level of intention and nuance, from songwriting to styling, it’s magic to me.”

For Fusilier, Ambush is his maternal guide to fighting and loving in the shadow of defeat, its title taken from his mother’s maiden name as much as the act of surprise. For the listener, Ambush is a ferocious whirlwind of polyrhythms, cutting lyricism, classical motifs, distorted riffs, and soaring vocals that document a journey for self-love and humanity in the face of indignity and commodification. Throughout, Fusilier triangulates influences of dance music, turn of the century rock, and southern hip-hop to produce a sound that’s as politically urgent as it is singularly fun. Now, after years of percolating in the indie scene working with Pegg and RIBS alongside Bartees Strange and Teeny Lieberson, Blake Fusilier emerges as a formidable musician, songwriter, and performer in his own right.

“When I started Ambush I thought it was something I was doing—bombarding the world with a bunch of world-changing songs,” Fusilier says with a laugh. “The more I thought about it and fleshed it out, the more I realized that it was something being done to me everyday, from seemingly innocent advertisements to full-on macro aggressions.” It’s this fascination with a sense of safety—both real and imagined—that allows Fusilier to create songs that are fortified like a shield. Take previous single “Nightmare Muscle,” where he offers a biting auto-biography on the narrowing walls of ambition, delivered through the golden age of ‘90s alternative and pop-punk in all its rapped verse and screamed chorus glory. Ambush’s lone ballad “Satellites” revels in the vulnerability of loving openly, with Fusilier’s silvery falsetto delivering “I lived my life as a code— / never let anyone close / So you can imagine the shame of needing your face everyday” somewhere between a plea and a whisper.

Ambush is Fusilier’s most collaborative project to date, with many folks contributing to production and performance, including Carlos Hernandez (Carlos Truly), Teeny Lieberson (Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory), and Vishal Nayak (Nick Hakim). While the album was created in “so many places by so many people,” Fusilier credits studio time with Bartees Strange in DC as the catalyst for turning this collection of songs into such a cohesive, potent statement. Ambush puts Fusilier comfortably alongside Yves Tumor, Perfume Genius, and Model/Actriz as a distinctive voice in adventurous pop music. He may have been ambushed, but trust Fusilier is finally free. Ambush is his way of letting you know.

After months of online mystery, late night drive home today announces their debut album as I watch my life online will be released on June 27 via Epitaph. A criticism of their adolescence always existing in the shadow of the internet, the 13-track offering codes together vignettes of mistaking online connection for something real. With their success outgrowing the bedrooms they used to create in, late night drive home’s debut album is the first time they’ve worked in proper studios. And with this growth, we see them move from the indie-rock bucket to a more expansive, electronic realm — Pre-save as I watch my life online. 

“Over-exposed and over-stimulated, desensitized to what is real and what is fabricated, desensitized to the simple things,” flows off lead singer Andre Portillo’s tongue about the forthcoming album. “This constant need for more of you has become a Pandora’s box in this modern age. I’m obsessed, you mean so much to me and without you, I would be staring at a different reflection in the mirror. You’ve made me. You’ve destroyed me. I sometimes wonder why I can’t live without you.”

Today’s album news arrives alongside the first single “terabyte.” A glitchy yet crystalline rumination on an addiction to adult content, the band finds themselves in an unending cycle of seeking online validation and destroying their self-worth. If love is the drug, the band’s drug tolerance keeps climbing. Try as they might to justify the dependence, they know they need to quit in order to establish real-life relationships — Stream. 

“A lonely creature searches for love and yearns to be understood in and at every corner of his world,” shares Portillo about today’s single. “Two different people exist on each side of the screens both trying to live in this modern world.”

late night drive home was born in El Paso, Texas, and Chaparral, New Mexico, hardworking communities where folks built their houses by hand and collars were mostly blue. In the same way that their neighbors did what they needed to get by, late night drive home taught themselves to create music as an escape from the slow, rural life. 

This drive to find more meaning in life propelled late night drive home to become the internet’s best kept secret. Following their breakout hit “Stress Relief,” the band spent the bulk of 2024 out on the road, playing infamous festivals like Coachella, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits and Kilby Block Party. More sure of themselves, and settled into their sound, late night drive home is primed for the summer release of their debut album. 

5. CMAT – Running/Planning

Today, Irish country-pop superstar CMAT announces her new album EURO-COUNTRY, her “most important record” to date, set for release on August 29 via AWAL. It’s accompanied by the new single Running/Planning, out now. LISTEN HERE // WATCH THE MUSIC VIDEO HERE. 

She also unveils a mammoth run of UK live dates – including a high-profile Glastonbury slot and her biggest headliners to date: London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Dubin’s 3 Arena.

On “Running/Planning,” which premiered today on BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, CMAT says: “Running/Planning’ is about having to chase your own tail to be good enough to exist. It’s an abstracted view of societal pressure on women – specifically through a relationship lens: You start dating someone, you get engaged, you get married, you have kids etc etc etc… everything has to follow this linear pattern. 6. Pixel Grip – Split

Today, Chicago’s underground electronic trio Pixel Grip, comprised of Rita Lukea (vocals), Jonathon Freund (synth), and Tyler Ommen (drums), is back, unveiling their latest single, “Split”. A high-energy track layered with raw emotion and a triple entendre that explores the fractures of broken relationships, betrayal, and mental health. 7. Dende – I am, because you are…

Today, Houston-based rising R&B artist Dende unveils his anxiously awaited new I am, because you are… EP available now via Def Jam Recordings. Listen HERE. Watch video for “Time” HERE.

 The six-track body of work doubles as a canvas for his emotions. Painting in broad strokes thematically, he explores the quick onset of romance, lust, and love as these feelings endure the ensuing phases of a relationship between two strong individual personalities.

8. CieraTheRapper – Brunette

9. Genia ft. Monaleo – Give

10. Tre Loaded – Steppin

Steeped in Memphis sounds since birth, Tre Loaded is a natural spitter. Today, the 21-year-old rapper puts on his steel-toed boots and gets to “Steppin‘” with his new single. Attacking the stomp-worthy percussion–a steady cadence, occasionally interrupted by drumline fills–with cold precision, giving expert advice on when to spend and when to save: “Ay, you gotta pay what you weigh/Back in the day, I had nowhere to stay/Ay a hunnid some K in the safe/Could buy a watch, but I want me a wraith.”  “Steppin” is Tre Loaded’s first single since “Can’t Get Enough,” his Tamia-sampling Valentine’s Day anthem.

“Steppin,” “Can’t Get Enough,” and earlier single “GloRilla” have kicked off what is already a busy 2025 for Tre Loaded, who exploded into the consciousness last year with viral hits and important co-signs, leading to over 50 million catalog streams in 2024 alone. The new single follows in the footsteps of “Another Whip,” a viral hit that generated over 7 million streams across platforms. 11. Autumn Paige – Down The Rabbit Hole EP

Today, rising R&B artist Autumn Paige releases Down The Rabbit Hole, her debut EP via JBR Creative Group. Alongside the new project, Autumn shares the official music video for “Rotation” – a captivating earworm that blends R&B with candy-coated pop sensibilities.

Following the blueprint laid by fellow VA singer/songwriters like Missy Elliott and Kali Uchis, Naomi The Supreme releases her first single of 2025 titled “I Don’t Trust You” via ALPHA Music Group/EMPIRE. Produced by DontCryAudio, the track finds the Atlanta-transplant detailing a well needed break-up over Pop instrumentation.

Created following a series of less than ideal dating experiences, the song is a sonic therapy session rooted in self discovery and delayed discernment. After taking a break from pursing romantic relationships and healing the multi-fascated musician wrote and recorded the record with transparency being the driving force.

15. Naomi Sharon – Can We Do This Over

Today, Naomi Sharon returns with a soulful single, “Can We Do This Over.” The singer’s highly anticipated new song is a gorgeous addition to Sharon’s impressive discography. “Can We Do This Over,” created with Justin Tranter (Selena Gomez, Chappel Roan, Lady Gaga), sees Sharon experimenting with acoustic instrumentals while her silky, soulful vocals remain centerstage. 

“I remember being in a vulnerable phase,” Sharon reflects on the making of “Can We Do This Over.” “Together with Justin Tranter, the co-writer, I wrote a beautiful lyric that perfectly captured how I was feeling. That was a special experience. It is always great when you are completely in sync with a writer or producer.”

“It felt like a very open and honest process. We decided to start acoustically to see what kind of song would emerge, instead of immediately adding a full production. This allowed us to experiment with different elements and instruments. Eren Cannata, Jordan Ullman and Alex Lustig guided this process beautifully. When I received the first version, it immediately felt right. I had shared my ideas, and they interpreted them in their own way, aligning perfectly with my vision. 16. Ari Lennox – Soft Girl Era

GRAMMY-nominated recording artist Ari Lennox, celebrates her birthday today by releasing her anthemic new single “Soft Girl Era,” Ari is embarking on her new journey where peace and serenity reign supreme. Taking a page out of his heroes’ book and using it to roll a spliff, the NY native releases PIFF, his new album. Bringing listeners on a tour through his side of Uptown, Lord Sko is an amiable host, crafting boasts that succinctly summarize his life as a rising artist, toe-tagging instrumentals with his frayed rasp.

24. Real Bad Man & Willie The Kid – Midnight

LA-based producer Real Bad Man and Michigan rapper Willie the Kid release their new collaborative album, Midnight, via the producer’s own Real Bad Man Records label. The album, which marks the producer’s second collaborative project of the year following Dear Psilocybin with ZelooperZ, includes guest appearances from UK rapper Sonnyjim, New York’s Lord Sko and frequent RBM collaborator Boldy James, who will be releasing his own Real Bad Man-produced album in May.

The album came together naturally for the pair, letting each new song inform the identity of the project as a whole. Speaking about how they identified that central theme of the album, Willie says, “I think where Adam and I agreed upon is that the stand out records were all themes for the night, late night drive, after hours dinners, shopping, private rooftop hotel suites, it’s a thinking album, a cruising album preferably enjoyed at night…midnight””

Midnight marks the early stages of what’s shaping up to be a prolific run of collaborations for Real Bad Man in 2025. His second album of the year builds off of the momentum he sparked last month with his first full-length album with ZelooperZ, Dear Psilocybin, which The FADER called “clear-eyed and focused in its own fantastical way”. Working as a duo with the dynamic lyricism of Willie the Kid after the psychedelic sounds of Dear Psilocybin, Real Bad Man returns to the essential underground beatmaking that he first emerged onto the scene with through his On High Alert series. His crackling, lo-fi production pairs perfectly with Willie’s gritty delivery, laying a foundation for the longtime lyrical stylist who has worked alongside some of the genre’s modern heroes including Nas, Lil Wayne, The Alchemist, Roc Marciano, Curren$y and more.

25. Benicio Bryant – Goodie Bag

Today, 20-year-old artist and model Benicio Bryant has released the brand single “Goodie Bag.” The sexy pop bob draws the listener in almost like a queer siren call and combined with the irresistible beat makes you want to put the track on repeat over and over. 

When writing “Goodie Bag” Benicio recollects, “When we wrote this song, we had the production but were struggling with the lyrics and we decided we needed just a funny line or concept to lift with the production. I had the melody, and all of a sudden I burst out, ‘come reach in my goodie bag’. We just thought that was so funny and loved it. It means, let’s get it on, stop pretending – we’ve liked each other for a long time, let’s just do something about it, let’s act on it. That’s exactly what it means.”

The sultry sweet song is the latest release from Benicio’s highly anticipated forthcoming debut POPSTAR EP and follows his recent “Gameboy” release which was featured on Ones To Watch and is another gem in the masterpiece that will be the upcoming EP. 

The track was written because Benicio isn’t necessarily the stay-out-at-night, club kid. He wanted to write a song for all of those kids (and adults) who party the introverted way – at home! The song is for all the homebody’s out there who celebrate the school or work week with another pop culture favorite – video games. For the production, Benicio wanted to channel harsh, digital sounds to embody the digital nature of the lyrics. 

Benicio says of the writing process, “I just loved the idea of making this song a vocal trap song. Like ‘ga-a-ame.’ I liked it sounding synthetic, and very fake. Like I liked it sounding like digital. Some of the sounds are scary and abrupt, I think that’s good, it’s fun!  Pop isn’t supposed to be perfect, it’s supposed to be risky and a party.”

Rounding out the already released bangers that will be featured on the POPSTAR EP is the title track. “Popstar” is a future club classic that is a love letter to Benicio’s inner popstar and a song that rivals the divadom of Kim Petras and Dua Lipa. Channeling club beats adjacent to Troye Sivan’s and the disco retro vibes of Conan Gray, Benicio is unapologetic with his undeniable star power.

26. Pleasure Pill – Line Up The Stars

We regret to inform you that you have now a life-long fandom of the most dangerous band in San Diego, Pleasure Pill – a moody indie rock band with stadium-sized ambition, who today announced the release of debut studio album Hang A Star. “Renacer”, which translates to “rebirth”, celebrates Bardo’s new chapter, which arrives after leading Chicano Batman, the psychedelic rock band that “embodies Los Angeles…a sprawling map of Latinx communities and cross-cultural sound.” Born to a Mexican father and Colombian mother, Bardo grew up in the LA suburb of La Mirada in a house full of music immersed in diverse sounds from classic rock and R&B and top 40 hits from the 70s and 80s to cumbia, vallenato, and salsa. He takes inspiration from the rich sounds of his youth and his Afro-Latino heritage to tell stories about his personal journey. Peanut Butter Wolf, head of Stones Throw, said on the track “imagine on the Mudd Club a DJ playlist in the early 80s: the lower east side NY hip-hop meets post-punk, meets Latin in the art scene.”

Bardo says: “Being the son of a Caribbean woman from the north Atlantic coastal city of Cartagena is a root that makes me who I am and informs so much of my personality and everything about me; it’s a root that I’m very proud of. This song is an ode to that root, that heritage, to Colombia, to the afro roots of where I come from, where the rhythm is, where the feeling is.”

“Renacer” previews the kaleidoscopic sound world that Bardo has built within his next body of work. The song was born from a voice memo during a jam session in Bardo’s home studio, when Combo Chimbita visited LA from NYC. Bardo adds, “Combo also shares [my] heritage, so the synergy in the lyrics between Carolina Oliveros and me is true.”

The accompanying music video, directed by William Andrade, follows Bardo celebrating in the streets of New York with Combo Chimbita – a celebration of Latin and Black communities’ influence on the city’s rich musical history and a nod to 90’s hip hop. 

Bardo also adds: “‘Renacer’ comes at a time of profound change: pushing my solo career is a huge shift for me. I’m digging deep and giving it my all. Rebirth is something that happens every moment; every breath is an opportunity to center yourself. Carolina’s lyrics speak so much to reinvention in the moment. The revolution is truly a personal one, and music for us is the way we empower and inspire ourselves. We believe that music is fundamentally spiritual; it is also the love language of our ancestors speaking through us.”

29. Ivory Scott – MUD

From writing chart-topping hits for icons like Beyoncé, Madonna, Ed Sheeran, Trippie Redd, and Fireboy DML, Ivory Scott is stepping into the spotlight with his debut album, MUD, out today via MNRK Music Group. MUD is an emotional yet empowering journey that showcases Scott’s raw storytelling. 30. Ginger Winn – Not You

Today, Kingston, NY via Charleston, South Carolina folk singer-songwriter Ginger Winn shares her intimate, cathartic “Not You”–a touching tribute to the artist’s late father, out everywhere now. Winn’s sophomore album Freeze Frame is due out June 13. On May 1, the artist and musician/producer A.J. Yorio (Michael Marcagi) will play live at Colony in Woodstock, NY with tickets on sale now here.

Plus, Winn shares a mental health-focused surprise EP Reflections out today. Written in the wake of losing her father, the three-track EP includes a heartfelt titled “To Dad” where the artist begins to process her immense grief. Included on the project is a cover of The Lumineers’ “Gloria” that reimagines the original with Winn’s own personal touches.

Winn says, “Not You,” out today, “wrestles with a word difficult to say out loud – suicide. Especially about a loved one. I lost my own father to suicide this past Thanksgiving. We actually made the demo for this song over a year ago, before my own experiences, but I recorded it with A.J. Yorio in January and used it as a catharsis. I hope it helps others who have experienced the loss and resulting guilt, confusion, and pain associated with it.”

The forthcoming LP, Freeze Frame, produced and engineered by A.J. Yorio, sees Winn tackle the complexities of heavy topics like suicide, grief and anxiety. Recorded during a record snow storm in Cincinnati at Yorio’s home studio after globally touring with Michael Marcagi, the album came together naturally and the pair found their stride. Yorio reflects, “I had barely learned how to keep time on the drum kit, let alone learn how to record them correctly, when Matt Baione (Ginger’s co-writer) reached out and asked if I would want to get in the studio first-thing 2025 and make a record. My second son had just been born eight weeks earlier. When Ginger came in January we got snowed in for more than a week with record-breaking-flakes here in Cincinnati. Sharing my home and family with Ginger amidst the epic snowstorm felt like living in a really intriguing Netflix series. It was an utter blast.”

Without wanting to give away too much, Winn is looking forward to sharing her most personal project yet that marks a turning point in her life. Winn reveals, “I had never lost someone that close before. It shifted everything. We recorded in January, while the emotions were still raw. ‘Freeze Frame’ is a reflection of that—of change, of loss, of holding on to fleeting moments before they disappear.”

On the three incredibly personal tracks out today on the surprise project, Winn shares “‘Reflections’ is an EP about loss. Three songs, three different stories—each one a glimpse into the weight of grief, the echoes it leaves behind. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from experiencing deep loss, it’s that pain can shape something beautiful. Even in the darkest moments, there’s something worth holding onto.”

Born and raised in South Carolina, Ginger Winn has been singing and songwriting since age nine. 31. Jozzy – Maybe

3x Grammy Award winner and RIAA Diamond-certified singer/songwriter Jozzy returns with “Maybe,” a bold, melodic reflection on blurred lines and emotional accountability, out now via RBC Records/BMG. “Maybe” is the first release from Jozzy’s forthcoming debut album, “Soundtrack 2 Get Her Back.” Listen HERE.

32. Rylo Rodriguez ft. Rio Da Yung OG – Bring Bac Act

Platinum Alabama rap star Rylo Rodriguez (Glass Window Entertainment/Motown Records) returns triumphantly with his soul-laden record “Bring Bac Act” featuring Rio Da Young OG. Known for his elite storytelling abilities, Rylo thrives over soulful production, ruminating about his rugged past and gut-wrenching losses, including losing his close friends to the legal system. Rio Da Young OG matches Rylo’s raw candor with hard-nosed rhymes about dealing with snakes and overcoming adversity in the cold streets.

33. NoMBe – In This Room

Today, genre-blurring artist NoMBe returns with a lush, groove-laden single, “In This Room,” the latest release from his highly anticipated third album Diáspora (via Position Music). Written by NoMBe alongside Mads Christensen and Mette Mortensen (of Off Bloom), “In This Room” was born in Copenhagen during a European songwriting trip. 34. Gaby Moreno – Lamento

The Grammy-winning and 2x Latin Grammy-winning artist Gaby Moreno releases her captivating new short film Lamento starring acclaimed actor Tony Revolori (Spider-Man, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Asteroid City, The French Dispatch). Directed by Guatemalan filmmaker Diego Contreras, the film features an entire Guatemalan cast and is shot at the ruins of an abandoned beach resort reclaimed by the sea. The striking film accompanies Gaby’s new single of the same name which was produced by Gaby and Cheche Alara. Lamento reveals a staggering universe that exists somewhere between reality and fantasy to tell a deeply hopeful and equally forlorn story.

Lamento is a poetic and metaphorical reflection on time, memory, the immigrant journey, and the looming impact of climate change, starring Grammy-winning artist Gaby Moreno and actor Tony Revolori. Set against the surreal, haunting backdrop of an abandoned Guatemalan beach resort slowly reclaimed by the sea and teetering on the edge of disappearance, the film follows Gaby on a poignant journey to rediscover a place from her childhood, now on the brink of destruction. Accompanied by a local fisherman (Tony Revolori) and a mysterious companion, FINITOR—a flying obsidian rock with a 3D-scanning lens—they strive to capture and immortalize the soul and memory of a life and land they left behind, before it all fades away. Inspired by the personal experiences of both Moreno and director Diego Contreras—who left Guatemala at 18 to build their lives in Los Angeles—the film pays tribute to their roots while embracing the pursuit of new horizons in Hollywood and beyond.

Attending friends, family, peers, and fans joined by the cast to do a Q&A for the film between Gaby, Tony, and Diego who discussed the creation process, shed light on their reflections and touched on the larger and essential topics at the core of the film.

40. Linkin Park – Up From The Bottom

LINKIN PARK wrote and recorded “Up From The Bottom” in between segments of their massive From Zero World Tour. Harnessing the energy of their 2024 live re-emergence, the track’s decisive piano refrain, distorted riffs, and propulsive drums lay the foundation for the singular vocal duo of Emily Armstrong and Mike Shinoda, singing “You keep me waiting down here so far below, staring up from the bottom, up from the bottom.” The song climaxes with a surprising bridge of turntable scratches, 808s, and one of Shinoda’s most memorable rap verses–evoking their signature genre alchemy spiked with a rush of fresh inspiration.

41. Estelle ft. LaRussell & Keyon Harrold – New Direction

GRAMMY Award-winner Estelle returns with jazz-inspired, uptempo fourth single “New Direction,” ft. rapper LaRussell and jazz trumpeter and composer, Keyon Harrold. Succeeding Love On Love featuring D-Nice—which was accompanied by a live performance premiere exclusively on YouTube—”New Direction” is the latest offering from Estelle’s sixth studio album.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic sounds of Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and Roberta Flack, “New Direction” is co-written by Estelle and LaRussell, and produced by Keith Harris. The dance track is a declaration of personal freedom—an anthem about embracing the life you choose, no matter your present circumstances.

42. Wesko – (un)plugged, vol. 2

Continuing a prolific season, rising North Carolina based singer-songwriter Wesko shares (un)plugged, vol. 2, out now via Warner Records. Listen HERE. It lands in the wake of vol. 1, which arrived earlier this month.

vol. 2 boasts a standout recording of his recent single “Where The Love Goes.” Additionally, it features three previously unreleased tunes. “Always Wanted To Be” revolves around a soft finger-picked acoustic guitar and a breezy refrain, “Just a kid with a head full of dreams that I always wanted to be.” Then, there’s “Bones” where his impressive high register echoes over brisk strumming. “Love You Boy” fittingly concludes the EP. Wesko’s heart-wrenching storytelling instantly captivates as he recalls, “She said, ‘I love you boy. You’re my pride and joy. Your daddy’s waited too long to tell you how he feels’.”

Last year, Wesko unveiled “Helene (The Carolina Taping).” Reflecting the pain of the region in the wake of Hurricane Helene, he pledged a donation of 50% of all proceeds generated by the song to the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Release Fund. After hearing “Helene,” country superstar Luke Combs personally invited Wesko to perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC as part of the Concert for Carolina. Taking the stage, Combs introduced him, and he captivated a capacity crowd of 82,000 with a heart-wrenching rendition of the song. He notably joined a powerhouse bill with Eric Church, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, and Keith Urban. The event raised over $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief. 

Hailing from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has quietly emerged as a country maverick with a knack for “real cowboy tunes,” as he calls ‘em. Inspired by everyone from Neil Young and Eric Church to My Chemical Romance and Green Day, he has architected a raw and real style of his own. 43. AKIA – DUMB

Rising R&B powerhouse AKIA continues her hot streak with the release of her debut EP DUMB, out today via SinceThe80s and Human Re Sources The emotionally charged 4-track project showcases AKIA’s signature blend of raw vocals, vulnerable storytelling, and hypnotic production—anchored by fan-favorite single “DND” and new standout track “Nobody”.

Released on March 14, “DND” has already amassed over 330K streams across platforms.
