Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler, isn’t just a film… It’s an emotional, psychological deep-dive laced with Black American and African tributes. All led by a group of powerhouse actors that are as compelling as they are captivating (and fine).

Michael B. Jordan anchors the story with a career-defining dual performance as twin brothers Smoke and Stack. But Jordan isn’t the only one keeping our eyes glued. Sinners is packed with standout performances from breakout star Miles Caton, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller. And, my personal favorites, Wunmi Mosaku and Delroy Lindo.
Every frame they’re in, every word they spoke, was intentional.
Since its release, Sinners has grossed about $163 million worldwide, becoming the third highest-grossing film of 2025 so far. Critics are already whispering about Oscar season, and the film has earned an “A” CinemaScore which is unprecedented for an R-rated (Black) horror film.
