2. Zelgin Jackson

Taking fellow Virginia native Pharrell Williams‘ encouring words “I did it, you can do it, too” to heart, Zelgin Jackson liberates his new Hip-Hop album ‘Chapter 1: Dedication‘ via UnitedMasters. Serving as the sequel to 2023’s ‘The Prologue,’ Zelgin’s latest body of work continues to help tell his unique story while revolving around broader themes of romance, relationships, and heartache. 

Notable contributors to this project include manager Robert Frampton, engineer Kyle Williams, and another hometown hero named Lockedinkee in addition to a collection of producers he met through social media.

It’s obvious that the RVA based recording artist has earned more confidence since dropping his last body of work after perfecting melodies, strengthening his pen, and upgrading his beat selection. Every word has meaning and the dedication to his craft is on full display.

“This is the second album out of a collection of music that is personal to me and updates my audience on emotions, feelings, and dilemmas I’m currently experiencing. In continuation with ‘The Prologue,’ ‘Chapter 1: Dedication’ was released on my birthday (Feb. 19th) as well. The emotions in this new album are raw and open,” ZJ tells Medium Creative Agency in a press statement about projects origins. 

3. Amanda Reifer – RUDUMB?

2x GRAMMY Award-nominated artist Amanda Reifer serves up a bold new single entitled “RUDUMB?” produced by Pharrell Williams and co-written by Amanda Reifer and K. Lamar, out now via Title 9 / Atlantic Records. It notably marks her very first collaboration with Pharrell, and it lands as the third single from her anxiously awaited debut solo album, The Reifer Files, coming this Spring. The vibrant artwork was created by Korean contemporary artist ZiBEZI, best known for his iconic painting featured in the Oscar-winning film Parasite.

From the moment the beat kicks in, “RUDUMB?” feels like classic Pharrell with its slick bass thump and instantly recognizable drums. Amanda slips right into this slinky groove, and it fits like a glove. Taking charge without apology and bossing up, her confident cadence dominates the field as she teases, “Drop everything you got for a Bad Bajan.” It climaxes on the funky and fiery refrain, “I mean I get it, but I don’t. RUDUMB, boy? What do you want?” This danceable banger could ignite any party from Barbados to Virginia Beach and back again.

On “RUDUMB?” Amanda Reifer shares, “‘RUDUMB?’ is a song born out of frustration of being underestimated as a woman in the world; in career, in love, in business. Working in the studio with masters will really bring out parts of yourself that you’ve tucked away or have been shy to explore, and I’m so grateful to have been given the space and environment by these prolific men to create a record like this. When we wrote this record I really wanted to give voice to that part of being a woman that is often forced to be censored and made small for the comfort of others. Sharpening my pen in the studio with the lyrical master K. Lamar and having so much fun doing it really brought  me confidence in expressing that women are multifaceted and we should take up the space that we deserve. ‘You need me in the room for the Feng shui!’ This song really taps into the audacious element of my album.”

4. Errol Holden – Supreme Magnetic

Today, rising New York MC Errol Holden, released his debut Roc Nation project Supreme Magnetic; which is now available.  You can also watch the new video for “Harlem Ni**as Always Gotta Demonstrate” below. 

When we say rising MC, don’t take our word for it.  Cam’ron says “the best lyricists are from Harlem, go argue with your Mother,” as he has tapped Errol to be the first featured artist for his new Freestyle Friday’s platform; and also appeared with him.  Errol was also recently named one of Complex’s top 25 Rappers To Watch In 2025.

Previously aligned with Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint, Errol has now signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation and is also now affiliated with Roc Marciano’s PIMPIRE International imprint.  “Errol is something special; he is bringing game to the game” Roc Marciano shares.  “Shit is inspirational”! 

“Supreme Magnetic is an autobiographical crime and redemption television expose in audio form” Errol Holden declares.  “It will provide and in-depth and detailed realism about life in NYC/Harlem.  So much, that those who are not from here can smell the chicken wings frying from out of the Chinese restaurant; and can see the addicts in and out of building 151’s hallway.”

Errol has a very active 2025 lined up, including three full projects; but he sets the tone with Supreme Magnetic!

In 2019, Errol Holden transitioned from the roof to the booth. The artist side of Errol found solace in writing his life in verse. Those thoughts and accounts of life eventually resulted in a handful of self-released projects, presented to customers directly through social media outreach, only to discover people valued the work to the point of paying sizable sums. “I am a lifelong criminal in transformation, and music has shown me that you don’t have to do bad” Errol states. 

“Nobody knew my real name until I started rapping,” shares Errol Holden. Now, the emerging New York City artist is making an impression with his identity. After years of hustling on rooftops and navigating the badlands of his concrete and steel universe, Errol creates art that shares vivid imagery and grim humanity.

Raised between Harlem and The Bronx in a Panamanian-American household, Errol has only had two jobs in his life.  One, working for famed Harlem fashion designer Dapper Dan, the other in the Harlem River Houses library, ended with the adolescent taking paychecks. Even before then, the teen known as “H-O” in the streets, hustled hard. After he dropped out of high school he took to making money on 123rd, 111th Street, and other corridors within the boroughs, as well as in Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and upstate. That lifestyle lasted decades, complete with incarceration, fractured family dynamics, and a myriad of valleys and peaks.

5. iham – roster

Moroccan artist iham has released his new single “roster.” On the sultry R&B track, the songstress is breaking hearts as she exudes confidence and control. The accompanying visual, directed by Cass Myers (SZA, Sadboi), sees ilham in front of the New York City skyline catching the attention of potential romantic interests.

Marking ilham’s first release of 2025, “roster” is the follow up to modern siren song “games,” which earned praise from The New York Times and The FADER. Sexy drill track “uhm…ok?” premiered on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 Show and has garnered over 3 million streams across platforms. Its success was further amplified by a viral On The Radar Radio performance, which garnered 20 million views and 100K likes on X, along with 6 million TikTok views. 

6. Babyfxce E ft. Monaleo – PTP (Remix)

Rising Flint rap sensation Babyfxce E teams up with Houston phenomenon Monaleo for a knockout new remix of “PTP” out now. The music video directed by Keefer and JR Digital brings the party vibes with cameos from BabyTron, Stunna 4 Vegas and more.

Babyfxce E sets the table with fast-paced and nimble rhymes, passing the ball to Monaleo to dunk on her spirited verse. Her fiery flow practically incinerates the production as she proclaims, “I’m from Texas, not a cowboy, but b*tches envy me. I’ve been balling on these b*tches all year. 7. WIL$ON – Method Acting: act III

Acclaimed South Los Angeles rapper and phenomenon WIL$ON presents his new EP Method Acting: act III out now via Def Jam Recordings. It stands out as the next installment of his fan favorite Method Acting series, which has amassed millions of streams and garnered praise. Listen HERE.

Regarding the project, WIL$ON said, “Real music ain’t dead, man. You never have to conform to what you think the masses want to hear. The biggest artists in the world all make music with substance. 8. Avenoir – Art Of War

9. By Storm – Zig Zag

By Storm, the duo of Injury Reserve’s RiTchie and Parker Corey, return to share new song “Zig Zag”. The song, which will be released on DSPs tonight at midnight local time, is preceded by a new music video directed by Parker Corey which is live now and marks the first offering of new By Storm music since 2023. “Zig Zag” ventures further into uncharted territory for the duo. Across the nearly seven minute track, Parker experiments with strings, drums and varying sonic textures, morphing the song into an echo chamber of sounds and RiTchie’s melodic vocals by its unpredictable end.

Following the song’s release on DSPs at midnight, By Storm will also be releasing a special digital maxi-single of “Zig Zag”. The maxi single contains 52 minutes of exclusive music, including remixes made by Parker that bring distinct new perspectives to “Zig Zag”, including a new RiTchie verse, altered vocals and tempos, new instrumentation and a slowed and reverbed version of the song. RiTchie and Parker first laid out their intention to release new music under the new name in 2023 with the release of “Double Trio”, their first release as a duo, which was paired with a video for the Injury Reserve track “Bye Storm”. The video concluded their work under the stage name Injury Reserve and memorialized Steppa J. Groggs, the third member of Injury Reserve who passed away in 2020.

15. Honey Bxby – Right On Time

Rising R&B star Honey Bxby is back with another bold statement in the form of her latest single, “Right On Time.” Released via Rebirth Entertainment / Warner Records, the track is a soulful and empowering anthem about moving on from the wrong love to the right one—on her own terms.

Over a seductive, shape-shifting beat, Honey Bxby delivers her signature mix of sultry vocals and raw lyricism:

16. WEST INDIES – West Indies

In addition to being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and celebrating 30 years of Darkchild, Rodney Jerkins‘ dominates headlines once again with more good news. 

The Grammy-winning producer/songwriter has officially signed rising collective WEST INDIES, composed of Jon Keith and Miles Minnick, to his Alienz Alive label. Their self-titled debut project from the dynamic duo, which includes an intro from DJ Hed and an interlude by Sway as well as production from Scootie Wop is out now.

26. Paris Texas – They Left Me With A Gun

Fresh off of releasing their new EP last week, Paris Texas surprises with a second new project, They Left Me With A Gun. Serving as the second of two anthologies that began with last week’s They Left Me With The Sword, the new EP takes a different sonic approach than its predecessor. Where Sword followed a fluid, linear arc to its sound, Gun tears up that script, embracing harsher, experimental sounds across six unpredictable tracks. They Left Me With A Gun is accompanied by a second music video paired with the visual for They Left Me With The Sword, completing the story of these two anthology projects. Both music videos are co-written by Louie Pastel, Felix and Dan Streit, (Charli XCX, BROCKHAMPTON, A$AP Rocky), who also directed both EP visuals. 

Both EPs were made in the months leading up to Paris Texas embarking on the biggest tour of their career. 27. 2hollis – style

Today, genre-disrupting producer and artist 2hollis drops his new single “style” – alongside accompanying music video. Lyricist Rob Knaggs elaborates, “It’s a song for Brooklyn Beckham. When you start  off in a band you feel like Slurms Mackenzie (the Futurama party slug). And then one morning you look around, and all your friends are getting  married, and you think, maybe all I really want is to grow old, and get a dog, and  write horrible things about Brooklyn Beckham on Facebook, and go on cruises, and  have petty disputes with my neighbours about whether the council recycles  cardboard.” 

Sports Team talked exclusively to American Songwriter about the single, and their forthcoming album, stating “the single touches on a particular brand of British couple core–mainly settling down in suburban neighborhoods and living comfortably–could be mistaken for a satire or a dismissal of this culture.” As Sports Team explains to American Songwriter, the song is “being very sincere… it’s not playing for laughs.” Elsewhere, Under The Radar described the track as “a melodic, uplifting tribute to everyday relationships, blending influences from classic British pop to wistful new wave sounds.”

It was recorded in Philadelphia at Dr. Dog’s rehearsal space and studio, Headroom Studios, co-produced by guitarist Noah Weinstein and Philadelphia-based musician Jeff Lucci (Mo Lowda & the Humble), and engineered by Ian Steinberg, a childhood friend of Weinstein. The group is thrilled to share a body of work that represents who they are today as they chart all new territory, face their fears, take risks and firmly, excitedly introduce themselves.

Weinstein shares, “I’m so grateful to have co-produced this album with Jeff Lucci leading me through new waters, as ‘breathe in. breathe out’ is by far the biggest record I’ve worked on. It took a lot of meditation to decide the sonic direction of the album, but working with Wallace and Pooja, we channeled our shared experiences and tastes to create a signature rich indie pop sound that we are incredibly proud of.” There was additional production by Atlanta producer and multi-instrumentalist Tony Doud and Desmond Myers and was mixed by Harper James and mastered by Joe LaPorta.

Out today with the album is “half alive,” a building ballad about what it means to really live, and the desire to be the best one can be, alongside its sunset-soaked lyric video with animations by Prabakaran. On the track, the vocalist shares, “It came to me after months of feeling creatively stifled by a job I felt pushed into. I woke up at 4AM with the song in my head and recorded a voice note in the dark.” Sonically their most creative yet, the track features hundreds of tracks filled with various unique sounds that were created by running instruments through pedals, recorded by distant amps in another room, and then run through even more gear. Prabakaran continues, “They even had me sing into guitar pickups for my doubles. It is dramatic, cinematic and long, but the slow burn is worth the wait. The animations exemplify the slow burn of half alive and explode at the end when the drums and guitars are wailing ‘set me free!'”

Koyal is made up of best friends Pooja Prabakaran (vocals), Noah Weinstein (guitar/producer) and Wallace (drums) who met in their Atlanta college basement and each earned engineering degrees. Fueled by their tight-knit friendship and shared love of Glass Animals, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and GROUPLOVE, the three friends began writing songs and have since amassed a loyal following with their genre-defying sound, dazzling instrumentation and relatable lyricism. The group played at Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival last year, and in 2023, sold out their hometown venue and set out on an East Coast tour. 39. Deitrick Haddon & Voices Of Unity – Find Jesus

GRAMMY® Award nominated contemporary gospel music mainstay Deitrick Haddon has reteamed with his `90s era choir, Voices of Unity, for a new gem, “Find Jesus” (Tyscot Records). Right out of the gate, he sets the scene through a woozy acoustic guitar, “I sweep the parking lots alone at night. I wonder what I’ll find this time.”  Unable to contain a flurry of emotion on the hook, distortion kicks into overdrive, and Willy screams, “I just want to be on stage and not give a fuck, yeah…parking lot thoughts get me crazy.” 

He notably capped off 2024 with “Boy Toy” and his Unplugged EP. Earning critical acclaim, House of Solo attested, “Cobb is fast becoming a force in the Nashville scene, proving that boundaries—whether in genre or attitude—are meant to be pushed.” Jace Media Music urged “Keep an eye on Willy Cobb—he’s just getting started,” and Taped Magazine also profiled him. Not to mention, he opened up for everyone from Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters to The Cadillac Three, shining on stage.

In 2024, his Country Punkin’ EP landed looks from Dig! and more. In an “On The Rise” interview about the project, The Line of Best Fit christened him “one of Nashville’s newest boundary-pushing talents,” going on to rave, “the EP’s five tracks offer up servings of ragged punk energy, fuzzed-out guitars, country grit and a touch of southern swamp.”

Meanwhile, “Cigarette Smell” has also garnered widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone touted it among “All the Songs You Need to Know This Week.” Plus, NOTION sat down with him for an in-depth interview and professed, “the single sees Willy Cobb at his best.” 

49. Michael Marcagi – Flyover State

Today, rising singer, songwriter and celebrated storyteller Michael Marcagi shares a heartfelt new single entitled “Flyover State” — listen HERE via Warner Records and watch the lyric video HERE. Tune in to CBS Saturday Morning tomorrow for a special performance from Michael.

“‘Flyover State’ is a song about falling into the trap of imposter syndrome and feeling like you don’t belong,” Marcagi explains. “It’s about taking risks, going new places, and stepping out of your comfort zone”

As with each new release from Marcagi, he reveals the heart of the matter from the very onset, with the upbeat mandolin underscoring his emotionally charged delivery. Lyrically, he wrestles with the day-to-day grind, “I look around, and this life ain’t mine. I’m in the backseat watching the world pass me by.” A driving beat kicks in and uplifts the soaring refrain, “I’m stuck in a flyover state of mind.” 

“Flyover State” lands in the wake of the recent fan-favorite “Midwest Kid.” Holler hailed the song as a “nostalgic, uptempo earworm,” before noting, “Michael Marcagi continues to cement himself as one of the most exciting new voices in the folk landscape.”

“Midwest Kid” followed on the heels of recent singles “Keep Me Honest,” “Good Enough”—which was co-written by Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers—and “Tear It All Apart.” Of “Tear It All Apart,” HITS professed, “Its melancholy verses give way to a rousing, redemptive chorus. The buzz on Marcagi is getting louder; he’s a true-blue story teller.” Flaunt Magazine observed, “Quite the lyricist, evoking an inspiring and relatable feeling – resonating deeply, and immediately , with those who hear it.”  

Marcagi arrived on the scene in 2024 with his Warner Records debut EP American Romance. 50. ALEXSUCKS – Worm In The Sun

Our new favorite unpredictable, LA-based wildcards ALEXSUCKS dropped their new single and music video “Worm in the Sun” today! Listen HERE. Watch the Liam Walsh-directed video HERE. It marks the band’s first release of 2025 and sets the stage for their U.S. headline tour, kicking off Wednesday March 5, at The Troubadour in L.A. and landing in Brooklyn on March 20!  

ALEXSUCKS continue to solidify themselves as the new face of modern rock, drawing inspiration from the garage and dance-punk revival with their own addictive flavor and catchy lyrics. Consisting of lead vocalist Alex Alvarez, guitarist John Luther, drummer Ethan Demoulin, and bassist Garrett Orseno (aka DJ Topgun), ALEXSUCKS crashed into the LA rock scene in 2023 with their debut album The Gutter. Standout tracks “6 Pack and Cigarettes” and “Can We Forget” both tallied over 2 million streams and pushed the band’s monthly listeners to over 800,000 on Spotify.

They capped off 2024 with the Warm Beers EP. Thus far, it has generated 10 million-plus total streams and counting in addition to receiving critical acclaim. Alternative Press hailed it as a “six-song collection that spans the worlds of alternative rock, dance-punk, and old-school MTV,” going on to profess, “The project’s standout track, and namesake, adopts a quiet-loud dynamic (a technique that defined ’90s alt a la Pixies and Sonic Youth) while building toward an addicting refrain.” Zac Carper of tourmates FIDLAR urged 303 Magazine, “Everybody needs to check out the band that is supporting us. ALEXSUCKS. 51. 2Rare – Feel Me (Rare Mix)

Always finding new ways to bring the party, Philly rapper 2Rare reinvents a year-2000 Baltimore Club classic with “Feel Me (Rare Mix),” out now via Second Estate/Warner Records. To bring his own infectious cut to life, he teamed with the original song’s producer, local legend Rod Lee. Listen HERE.

Anyone familiar with the rowdy track will recognize those sweat-pumping horns and drums from the jump. 2Rare doesn’t miss a step hopping on the breakneck beat, playing off of Lee’s original off-the-cuff vocals and extending the melody for his own cheeky lyrics. For the hook, he swerves in and out of the growled “feel me,” with a series of playful boasts and punch lines: “Ay Fresh Prince, I know you Uncle Phil me / You ain’t even gotta touch me, I know you gonna feel me.”

“I went into the studio looking to have fun,” says 2Rare, who often heard the neighboring Bmore sound growing up. “Sometimes the best songs happen when you’re just having a good time. As someone who loves to dance, the club culture of Baltimore has always spoken to me. I knew I had to connect with Baltimore on this one and I appreciate Rod and the city showing me love.”

“Feel Me (Rare Mix)” kicks off 2025 for 2Rare, who last blessed fans with the steamy, R&B-infused “Heartbeat” featuring Lakeyah and Ann Marie and, before that, his aspirational anthem “Congratulationz,” a victory lap of sorts that (for the moment, at least) stepped away from the playful, high-energy heaters he’d become known for. 2Rare’s latest is also a reminder that he’s similarly developed a sterling rep for rousing reinventions, from his single with Skilla Baby and Rob49, “C4,” which sampled Eazy-E’s “Boyz-n-the-Hood,” to the remix release of Gracie’s Corner’s “Veggie Dance,” which amassed over 2 million streams in three days. 

Prior to all that, 2Rare cranked up the voltage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, flaunting his customary showmanship while diving into his catalog, starting 2024 off right. The year before, he was named a 2023 XXL Freshman, appeared on NLE Choppa’s RIAA Gold-Certified “Do It Again,” and unloaded his Truth or Rare mixtape, a showcase for the turn-up. Only time will tell what 2Rare’s got in store for 2025, but it’s safe to assume that the club won’t be the same.

52. B.U.G Antman – 145 MPH

Today, Atlanta rap surrealist B.U.G Antman drops “145 mph,” a woozy celebration of fast living out now via Warner Records. The new single adds to the holistically hypnotic, trippy, and color-saturated world the young artist is building and leads the way to his forthcoming EP, Y’all Ugly, arriving March 21st. “145 mph” drops you right into the groove where lo-bit keys pulse, and disembodied voices pinwheel through the ether. B.U.G Antman’s vocals cut through the track, zooming past places he’s been and women he’s seen: “On the e-way I push 145 / For these hits of the za I pay 145 / Every night I come alive / We the ones that brought these vibes.” 

Ahead of the release, B.U.G Antman shared his vision for the single. “I’m trying to set a bold tone for my project with this one,” He details. “Showing my vulnerable side. This lifestyle really gets to you sometimes.”

The track sees Antman recount his brief flings on the road. As an artist in constant transit, fleeting moments are filled with casual sex and drugs as coping mechanisms, suppressing the perpetual heartbreak he endures in pursuit of his musical endeavors. 

The “145 mph” video drops B.U.G Antman into one of the many metropolises he mentions, NYC. Even as he walks the streets, overpasses, and subways, the artist is in a world of his own — impeccably styled and working on a joint while the city moves in slow or backward motion. At certain points, it gets markedly strange, with wild zoom-outs that wormhole through windows, crosswalk signals, construction scaffolding, and security mirrors. The POV is entirely his own.

“145 mph” follows the January release of “Make Sense,” a lush cut that champions self-expression, intense focus, and getting money. The track came with a visual rollercoaster of a video (watch HERE) and transfixed tastemakers upon arrival. Billboard named the song among “R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks of the Week.” VIBE plugged it on “New Hip-Hop to Ride Out To.” BET highlighted the single in their new music roundup. And Dirty Glove Bastard professed, “The psychedelic track showcases his magnetic charisma and innovative artistry.” Before that came the vibrant “Meltdown” — which came with an appropriately drippy video (watch HERE)

Meanwhile, B.U.G Antman continues to serve his fans (the “Colony”) music and visuals across his various socials, underscoring his outsized charisma, otherworldly talent, and commitment to an all-encompassing artistic vision. The rising star crawled his way to the top of the new Atlanta scene over the past few years, developing his singular approach across a series of thrilling projects, including Goats on a Cliff (2020), Trap Infested (2023), and I See Colors (2023).

B.U.G Antman hit the gas heading into 2024 with his Bug EP, produced by Bakkwoods (SoFaygo, Lil Tecca, Ken Carson), and singles like “Phone on Private” and “Over Knees,” the latter of which he brought to the On the Radar Radio studio along with a couple of older actors who played the role of proud parents. Keep up as B.U.G Antman picks up speed across 2025. 

53. Wesko – Where The Love Goes

Today, rising North Carolina based singer-songwriter Wesko shares a vulnerable and vibrant new single entitled “Where The Love Goes” out now via Warner Records – listen HERE. 

Across the song, lithely plucked acoustic guitar accents his heartfelt delivery. Evoking a palpable sense of longing, he sets the scene with a gentle lamentation, “I’ve held a spark, and I’ve watched it die.” The chorus teems with emotion as he wrestles with the ups and downs of romance and relationships, “I can’t say love’s been too kind…It’s gone like a ’73 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.” As the song reaches its climax, these feelings fade off with soft feedback in the distance.

It lands in the wake of “Too Young To Die” and “Hopeless Son.” Last year, he unveiled “Helene (The Carolina Taping).” Reflecting the pain of the region in the wake of Hurricane Helene, he pledged a donation of 50% of all proceeds generated by the song to the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Release Fund. After hearing “Helene,” country superstar Luke Combs personally invited Wesko to perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC as part of the Concert for Carolina. Taking the stage, Combs introduced him, and he captivated a capacity crowd of 82,000 with a heart-wrenching rendition of the song. He notably joined a powerhouse bill with Eric Church, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, and Keith Urban. The event raised over $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief. 

Hailing from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has quietly emerged as a country maverick with a knack for “real cowboy tunes,” as he calls ‘em. Inspired by everyone from Neil Young and Eric Church to My Chemical Romance and Green Day, he has architected a raw and real style of his own. No stranger to hard work, he has impressively balanced a full academic schedule at The University of Mount Olive, all the while working an intense full-time job as a foreman for an erosion control company and gaining traction on songs such as “Burning House” and “No Surprise.” He also notably attracted an audience one-fan-at-a-time, gaining momentum locally and magnifying his imprint on social media. Inking a deal with underscore works recordings / Warner Records in 2024, Wesko holds nothing back on his debut Lost Boys EP with more to come.

54. Ray Vaughn – CEMETERY lanterns

Today, Top Dawg Entertainment’s rising star and Tidal’s 2025 Artist to Watch, Ray Vaughn, drops his next single “CEMETERY lanterns” out now everywhere HERE. The Rayo (Tyla, kwn) and Kyu Steed (Amaarae) produced percussive cut continues the motion Ray set last year in lead up to his upcoming debut EP, The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu, on the West Coast’s leading label. On the new single Ray Vaughn shares, “‘CEMETERY lanterns’ is a story for those caught between loyalty and survival. 55. Leven Kali – Are U Still (Live)

Leven Kali shares live performance video for his new electrifying new single “Are U Still” out now. It marks his first solo release since 2022 and his official debut for Def Jam Recordings. Listen HERE. Watch the performance HERE. 
 
Live drums kickstart the track as harmonies flutter. In between soft piano, his warm vocals practically melt the production, alternating from laidback intonation to a bold high register. As the momentum ramps up, he repeatedly asks, “Are you still in love like I am?” The vibe flips as funky guitar locks into a bounce with handclaps. Fittingly, a wild trumpet solo acts as a cherry on top of this future-facing R&B delight.
 
Leven Kali, Multi GRAMMY-nominated for his work on Beyoncé’sRenaissance, co-wrote the standout “Bodyguard” for the latter. Of course, this continues his run as a key trusted collaborator for Beyoncé. Beyond these mega-collabs, his voice could be heard on genre-busting tracks like “How You Feel” with ANOTR and Erik Bandt last year.
