The New York Mets and Juan Soto agreed to a record-breaking deal worth $765 million over 15 years, the biggest in Major League Baseball team sports history. This contract surpassed the previous record held by Shohei Ohtani, who received a $700 Million deal from the Los Angeles Dodgers last season.

Soto, who spent last season with the New York Yankees is a four-time All-Star, a five-time Silver Slugger, and won a World Series in 2019 with the Washington Nationals.
