After a monumental 2019 with club and radio topping hits, Megan The Stallion‘s stardom only continues to rise as she is coming off her highest charting single to date after the release of the “Savage” remix featuring her fellow Houston hottie Beyoncé.

She joined The Morning Hustle and kicked things off by revealing what her first reaction was after hearing Beyoncé on the track and the level of excitement she felt.
“When I got the song back, like Beyoncé really skated all over this song…it’s Beyoncé, so I knew she was going to give it the treatment, but I wasn’t expecting all that. I thanked Beyoncé and Jay Z like 500 times already
After some very public label issues, Meg ultimately got through that legal dispute and ended up with Jay-Z at Roc Nation. She says that she saw that “a lot of people were confused” with the signing, and explains she’s not with Roc Nation as a label, but signed to them for management purposes. She explains what led to this decision and how happy she is to be apart of the Roc Nation family.
Being signed with Roc Nation now, it feels like a family, it feels like you’re around people who support you…we black and we a family, you know?
We talk about how her friendship with Wale came about, she gives us her “Twerk All-Star Team Starting 5”, and we randomly find out that Billy Sorrells’ father was actually Meg’s principal back in Houston! Since everyone is aware of how serious Meg is about her education, so we have her offer up a shoutout and a word of advice to the Class of 2020! before wrapping up the call.
