Afrobeats superstar Davido stopped by The Morning Hustle for an exclusive interview, and as always, he brought energy, honesty, and a vibe that only he can deliver. From his unmatched car collection to his passion for giving back, the global artist shared insights into his life, career, and the future of African music.

One of Davido’s favorite traditions is his annual birthday ritual, donating to charity! He sees it as a way to give back and inspire others, particularly in Africa, where his success has helped shine a light on the power of African music worldwide. “It’s bigger than just me,” he said.

The Nigerian-born artist also reflected on his time living in Atlanta, where his family settled and attended college. While his roots were in Georgia, Davido chose to attend an HBCU in another state, highlighting the importance of his cultural and educational journey.

Switching gears, he discussed his recent marriage, showing gratitude for his family’s support, and teased collaborations with legends like Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley’s son. He even touched on his loyalty to longtime friend Chris Brown and hinted at the possibility of joining a tour together. Proclaiming he should preform at the Super Bowl, five times over.

Davido didn’t shy away from big-picture topics, either. When asked about politics, he mentioned congratulating Donald Trump on his achievements but expressed his hope to see a female president in his lifetime.

With two years of Grammy nominations under his belt, Davido also shared a dream of one day performing on the Grammys stage himself. “It’s not just about the accolades,” he said, “it’s about showing what African artists can do on the world’s biggest platforms.”

Looking ahead, fans can expect a new project at the start of the year, along with Davido’s venture into film and movie production. As always, he’s raising the bar and proving why he’s not just an artist but a global icon.
